So I went to Nagasaki on business for 3 days, and managed to take 130 photos, including two different abandoned sites! I’ll save those for later, and do a general picture/travel post about Nagasaki now.
I love Nagasaki, because it has sea and mountains close together, and the scenery is stunning. Also, the people are really friendly!
When arriving at Nagasaki airport, you can see this island in the middle of the sea.
The next morning, this was the view from my hotel. Nagasaki has so many, I stay in a different one each time I go!
After work one day, I went exploring as I got out a little early.
I found a couple of abandoned places, which I’ll put in separate posts, but I also went up Glover sky road to take in the view. It was cloudy, and hammering it down with rain that day, I got so wet but it was worth it!
Well worth going up there if you ever go to Nagasaki, and it’s free! Be warned, though, it’s like a lift, and has no air-con, so you won’t want to ride the Sky road in summer…..
Here are some general shots of Nagasaki I took.
Here you can see the extremely low clouds rolling over the top of the mountains.
And here is a picture of the small port behind where I was working.
And here is an old house in the middle of Nagasaki city.
And Nagasaki train station.
Lastly, some views from the bus on the way back to Nagasaki Airport.
And finally, back at the airport.
